Our final Mobilizing Justice webinar for the year delved into the critical issue of how mobility practitioners can better serve diverse communities. The discussion focused on recognizing the unique challenges faced by different groups based on race, class, disability, and gender, and how these factors impact their travel experiences.
Our panelists, hailing from diverse backgrounds in non-profit organizations, academia and government, shared their insights and strategies for incorporating equitable principles into the mobility sector. This includes approaches in internal organizational practices, project delivery, community programming, and data collection. The panel members for this session were: Jaimy Fischer from the University of Toronto, Liraz Fridman from the City of Guelph, Luis Patricio from SDG Cities/Pillar Non Profit Network, and Pablo Zacarias from Better Environmentally Sound Transportation.
