Toronto Star: Here are the four elements of a cyclist-friendly ‘protected intersection’

“According to The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT), bike lanes in many Canadian cities simply disappear at intersections, which leaves cyclists in danger. A study conducted in the Vancouver area in 2015 showed the majority of collisions involving cyclists happen within intersections.”
