Film is a powerful medium for storytelling and sharing experiences. This Sunday, April 22 (Earth Day!), TCAT is taking part in two events that feature films and panel discussions to explore our unequal experiences of everyday travel. TCAT Director Nancy Smith will be at Bechdel Tested, talking about women in cycling ahead of a screening of the critically acclaimed Wadjda, the first feature film ever directed by a woman in Saudi Arabia. At the same time, TCAT’s Tessa Nasca will be at Golden Gears, a night of films and discussion on transportation equity, hosted by Transportation Equity TO and Your City in Motion. Tessa will be leading a co-design activity that highlights the need to re-imagine our streets with an equity lens.
