Suburban transit suffers from lack of investment, say advocates

In Scarborough, where 46 per cent of women don’t have a driver’s licence, according to The Centre for Active Transportation, poor transit doesn’t just inhibit people going downtown but also affects how people get around within Scarborough, whether for work, medical appointments, or trips to the grocery store, said Brenda Thompson, chair of Scarborough Transit Action.
