Street Smarts: Biking in All Weather Conditions Workshop

January 19, 2017

On January 12, 2017, Scarborough Cycles hosted a ‘Street Smarts: Biking in All Weather Conditions Workshop’ at our bike hub at AccessPoint on Danforth. The workshop, attended by over 40 participants, was delivered by our project partner Cycle Toronto and covered helpful advice on bike maintenance, route planning, recommended clothing, how-to  use the bike rack on the front of buses, and practical riding tips to deal with weather related hazards.

Workshop participants also picked up free copies of the new Toronto Cyclists Handbook. The popular handbooks contain information about traffic laws, safe riding habits, and has been translated into 13 languages, all of which are available at our Bike Hubs at AccessPoint on Danforth (3079 Danforth Ave) and at Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre (93 Birchmount Ave.) located at Birchmount Community Centre.
