
The Scarborough Cycles Bike Hub calendar is filling up fast. Here are some highlights:
- Sunday, July 23: Scarborough Cycles Bike Tour and picnic with Cycle Toronto & CultureLink
- Thursday, July 27: Scarborough District Advocacy Event at Access Alliance with Cycle Toronto
- Saturday, July 29: Bicycle Maintenance Workshop at Access Alliance with Cycle Toronto
- The DIY Drop-In Bike Repair has grown so popular that the hours have been expanded
- The first round of the Earn-Your-Bike program has started. Five youth are each building two bikes, one to keep and one for the hub. Muhammad, a youth volunteer from this program last year recently spoke about the need for improved cycling infrastructure in his community at the Bells On Danforth event in June.
- Scarborough Cycles Hub Coordinator Marvin Macaraig was interviewed on CBC Metro Morning this week and featured in a news article about the challenges and opportunities for cycling in the suburbs.
