Scarborough Cycles is getting ready for another great season, thanks to a Partners in Climate Action Grant from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Scarborough Cycles (Access Alliance) is one of ten organizations selected to help motivate Ontario residents to adopt low-carbon behaviours and technology. The competitive grant program is designed to identify and support the development, testing and evaluation of innovative ideas to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon choices by Ontarians.

Scarborough Cycles will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from personal transportation by eliminating barriers for everyday cycling in suburban communities and by increasing the percentage of short trips taken on bicycles. The grant will support the opening of a third bike hub location in Scarborough, and we will be tracking our greenhouse gas emissions reduction impact. Live in Scarborough? Get your bike out and help us reach our targets!

Here are just a few of the great ways you can become involved in this project:

  • Donate your used bikes or parts
  • Join us for a bike ride
  • Become a Bike Host Mentor!
  • Give input at our Scarborough Cycling Summit
