Peel Community Based Active Transportation Pilot | 2014-2016

In 2014-2015, the Regional Municipality of Peel retained TCAT, in partnership with Dr. Beth Savan and her research team at the Toronto Cycling Think & Do Tank at the University of Toronto and CultureLink Settlement and Community Services, to create and implement a community-based pilot program to increase active transportation. As a result of the program, car trips for participants dropped from 54 to 42% and cycling increased from 5 to 25%.

The full results can be found on the Region of Peel’s website or by downloading the final report or program highlights below.
