Between 2013-2017, TCAT partnered with diverse community groups, NGOs, and municipalities in four Ontario communities to test and refine the ANC participatory planning approach. During this project phase, we worked with Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park in Toronto, the Stewart Street Neighbourhood in Peterborough, Haliburton Village in Haliburton County, and the Donovan Neighbourhood in Sudbury. Each of these projects allowed us to test out our approach in varied physical, social, geographic, and political contexts.
From 2017-2020, we are deepening our work in Peterborough, through a partnership with GreenUP. We are working in three Peterborough neighbourhoods over the next three years. The first of these neighbourhoods is Jackson Park-Brookdale, which you can learn about below. We’ll continue updating this page as we expand our work in the next two neighbourhoods, Downtown Jackson Creek and Talwood.
