Marvin Macaraig | Community Health Promoter & Scarborough Cycles Bike Hub Coordinator, Access Alliance

Marvin Macaraig

Marvin Macaraig is a Community Health Promoter and the Scarborough Cycles Coordinator at Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services. He works to increase suburban cycling knowledge by building institutional capacity and addressing barriers. He has extensive hands-on experience conceptualizing, completing, and evaluating community projects, and appreciates working on-the-ground at the neighbourhood scale. Marvin earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto (Geography and Planning) and has expertise in the fields of Active Transportation, Civil Society, Urban Livability, and Metropolitan Governance. In 2018, Marvin received The Green Ribbon Award from the University of Toronto Scarborough in recognition for his, “outstanding achievements in campus sustainability”.
