Jared is Executive Director of Cycle Toronto and leads an outstanding team of staff and volunteers to transform Toronto into a bicycle-friendly city. Jared guides the strategic direction of every facet of the organization from advocacy to programs, education and campaigns. Jared developed innovative campaigns to build bike lanes on Bloor St, Richmond St and Adelaide St and double municipal funding for cycling infrastructure from $8 million to $16 million per year. In the role of Executive Director, Jared also executes government, partner and stakeholder relations and is the go to media contact on cycling issues in Toronto being quoted in over 150 media sources in 2015.
Prior to joining Cycle Toronto, Jared worked for 8-80 Cities and helped to establish the College of Sustainability at Dalhousie University. Jared holds an MA in International Development from Dalhousie University and has biked across Canada.
