Brantford Expositor: City to host Jane’s Walk

Brantford held its first Jane’s Walk on the street featured in TCAT’s new book: Complete Street Transformations in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region.

According to the Brantford Expositor: “Shellard Lane is an ideal choice for Brantford’s inaugural Jane’s Walk because the neighbourhood’s conversion was featured recently in Complete Street Transformations in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, a book highlighting nine projects from municipalities in the region, Maria Visocchi, the city’s manager of corporate communications, said in a statement.

The projects involved redesigning streets to make more space for pedestrians, cyclists or transit riders – a concept that is consistent with ideas put forth by Jacobs to improve walkability in urban areas.”
