Markham establishes a center to promote cycling

Markham Cycles Hub will provide everyone with the technology, tools and resources they need to ride a bike in the community. Studies have shown that 260,000 trips per day in Markham are less than 5 kilometers in length. This summer and autumn, the new center called Markham Cycles will host community rides and bicycle repair workshops, cycling classes and lending programs, electric cycling tests and other cycling-related activities. Through the center, participants will be encouraged to make cycling more environmentally friendly travel options.
