Are you a built environment professional or student interested in community engagement and participatory techniques? Are you looking to make your practice more equitable and responsive? Drawing on over four years of research and pilot projects across Ontario, TCAT’s Car Martin and Mikey Bennington will be teaching a seven-week course on Planning Active Transportation through Ryerson’s Chang School of Continuing Education. The course will explore participatory design and community engagement practices that contribute to the built environment in terms of health equity and provide the basis for planning streets and public spaces. Registration will open soon; the course start date is March 8th. Also look out for our launch event, a panel discussion on participatory planning, on February 8th. More details to come!
