TCAT is very pleased to introduce the four newest members of our Steering Committee: Zsuzsanna Deak, Hayley Easto, Siva Vijenthira, and Paul Young.
Zsuzsanna Deak has over 13 years of experience in the development industry, understands the importance of well-designed public spaces, and believes that with the heightened acceptance of high density living within the GTA there is a tremendous need to provide meaningful programs and educational tools to impact the public and private sectors.
Hayley Easto developed an appreciation for the vital role transportation plays in our communities and our individual lives while working for the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, and is now a small business owner with a restaurant on the Danforth.
Siva Vijenthira is a columnist at Spacing Magazine, where she writes about the role of street design in removing barriers and improving access to active transportation for marginalized groups, particularly in Toronto’s outer neighbourhoods.
Paul Young is a landscape architect and has conducted consultations, created health and built environment strategies, and led active transportation workshops for municipalities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
We are grateful to all of our steering committee members, both new and veteran, for dedicating their valuable time and expertise to TCAT. Together we are working to advance knowledge and evidence to build support for safe and inclusive streets for walking and cycling.
