Over the past few months, TCAT, in collaboration with Dr. Raktim Mitra at Ryerson University and Dr. Paul Hess at the University of Toronto, have been working hard on a new publication, Complete Street Transformations in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region. We’re excited to announce that the book, featuring nine projects from municipalities throughout the region which have been redesigned to improve the street for pedestrians, cyclists, or transit riders, is now complete, and will be released this spring.
Complete Street Transformations will be available electronically on the TCAT website, and a limited number of print copies will also be available for purchase. Save the date for Thursday May 5, 2016 and join us at our book launch event featuring a presentation by our research team, a panel discussion with participating municipalities, and a networking reception. Watch for more details in next month’s TCAT News.
Special thanks to the Government of Ontario through the Places to Grow Implementation Fund, whose funding supported the creation of this important resource that features the outcomes of Complete Streets projects across the region.
