On January 14th, Cycle Toronto’s Ward 18 Advocacy Group organized an event to share information and discuss the economic benefits of bike lanes proposed for Bloor Street. TCAT Director Nancy Smith Lea spoke about TCAT’s past and current research studying the economic impacts of bike lanes on Bloor Street. Nancy’s presentation is available here.

The City of Toronto is planning to install a bike lane pilot project on Bloor Street (between Shaw Street and Avenue Road) in 2016. For up to date information, visit the City of Toronto project page or the Cycle Toronto campaign page.
