TCAT recently commissioned a study, Connecting Black Creek: Strategic Active Transportation Plan, by Ryerson’s Graduate Planning Studio to analyze the potential for enhanced active transportation infrastructure in Black Creek. The report makes a case for improved infrastructure in the Black Creek neighbourhood specifically, and proposes principles and interventions for active transportation infrastructure in other inner suburban areas of Toronto.
The studio team will be holding a short presentation about their work, including an assessment of the conditions for walking and cycling within the Black Creek neighbourhood and a methodology for planning in other inner-suburban environments across the Toronto region.
