A major study of transportation operations in the downtown core is underway.
The purpose of the Downtown Transportation Operations Study is to look at ways to improve mobility and safety in the downtown core. The study also aims to highlight solutions that support all user groups, including pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, drivers and those involved in moving goods across the city.
The study area is roughly bounded by Queen, Bathurst, Jarvis and Lakeshore.
The streets in this area have historically been treated as thoroughfares through the downtown core; as passageways rather than destinations. It is important that people who live and work in these communities provide their input into this study to ensure that their perspectives are considered and included.
More information about the study is available on the study page on the City of Toronto website.
