Supporting Evidence-Based Healthy Community Design

We know that how we build our cities affects how we live our lives, and thus our health. Health professionals, in their ongoing effort to prevent illness, rather than just treat it, are becoming increasingly interested in the planning process. Over the next few months, TCAT will be working with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to investigate how public health authorities can share their expertise with planners and help build neighbourhoods that will support population health for generations to come.
