Driver Training Feasibility Study

TCAT is pleased to announce a new project funded by the Metcalf Foundation’s Cycle City grant. For this short study, TCAT will be conducing exploratory research into the feasibility of developing a driver course for safely sharing the road with bicycles. We will also be investigating whether participants could be eligible for a discount in auto insurance.

This summer, we will be interviewing key stakeholders to gain input into potential opportunities and obstacles in developing this kind of program, and for different scenarios for course delivery models. We are looking for people who have knowledge or experience in establishing or delivering something similar. If you have any leads, please contact us at
