Call for Proposals: Present at the 2014 Complete Streets Forum!

The Toronto Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT) is now accepting proposals for the Complete Streets Forum 2014, taking place in downtown Toronto on Oct 6, 2014. Proposals must be submitted by July 18, 2014 to receive consideration for the program.

It’s an exciting time for Complete Streets in Canada with more municipalities each year adopting Complete Streets policies, developing guidelines and incorporating a new approach to transportation that embraces a more holistic approach to how we build our cities. Yet we know much more needs to be done to continue to build momentum for the positive direction we’re on. In light of this, our overall conference theme is “Building Momentum for Complete Streets.”

We are looking for speakers to share their insight and expertise at the 2014 Forum on the following themes:

  1. Why Complete Streets
  2. Making the Case for Complete Streets
  3. Complete Streets How-To
  4. New Approaches to Community Engagement.

We encourage evidence-based proposals from the wide spectrum of sectors working on these issues including planners, engineers, public health professionals, urban designers, architects, accessibility and mobility experts, public transit professionals, advocates, and more.

This is TCAT’s 7th annual active transportation policy conference. Share your experience, expand your network, gain new insights. We look forward to hearing from you. The deadline for submissions is July 18, 2014. Complete details are available online.
