On the heels of yesterday's Medical Officers of Health report, the Toronto Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT) releases today its 4th video from the It's Your Move series, featuring Dr. Scott Wooder, President of the Ontario Medical Association and resident of the City of Hamilton.
A recent Angus Reid poll shows Hamiltonians clearly prefer funding options that reserve a portion for active transportation. Similarly, Ontario's doctors want to ensure that bicycle infrastructure is not forgotten as governments jostle over transit funding.
In his video, Dr. Wooder highlights the importance of physical activity and its role in preventing common chronic illnesses.
TCAT's It's Your Move is a video series that is part of a strategic partnership with Metrolinx designed to promote the importance of walking and cycling. Each video in the 12-part series features a leader living in Halton, York, Peel, Durham, Hamilton or Toronto.
