At this year's Bicycle Friendly Business Awards, TCAT presented our fourth annual Active Transportation Champion award to Patrick Brown and Albert Koehl.  Patrick is a founding member and board member of Cycle Toronto, an organizer of the Helmets for Kids program and a director of the Ontario Safety League. Albert is a key organizer of the annual Bells on Bloor ride, author of editorials in the Globe and Mail and other publications, and a director of the Annex Residents Association where he spearheaded a progressive bike policy. Both were nominated for their leadership in initiating the Chief Coroner of Ontario's Cycling Death Review and Pedestrian Death Review and for serving on the expert panels.
