Video: Protected Bike Lanes in Chicago

Chicago's mayor is aiming to construct 160 km of protected bike lanes during his term. Construction has progressed rapidly since his election; the first protected bike lane was installed within 30 days. Streetfilms produced a brief video interviewing local Department of Transportation officials and cyclists showing Chicago's approach to bike lanes, including lane markings and pavement colouring.  Since installation, bicycle mode share jumped from 22% to 49%.
