Women and Their Wheels

 

TCAT Director Nancy Smith Lea will speak at a “Women and Their Wheels” event taking place on Thursday March 17, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the University of Toronto (Music Room, Hart House). From ditching corsets to demanding the right to vote, the bicycle has played a surprising and vital role in women’s history! Join Bikechain for a fun and insightful exploration of the many ways that women and bikes make a great combination. The evening will feature talks by:
• Nancy Smith Lea, Director, Toronto Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT)
• Danielle Schön, Head of Welding and Fabrication at Schön Studio
• Siva Vijenthira, former cycling educator and advocate at Cycle Toronto and CultureLink

There will be free coffee, tea, and snacks. After the presentations, stick around to mingle, snack, and keep the conversation going! Tickets are free, but limited availability so please sign up here.
