Venue and Accommodation
The 2012 Complete Streets Forum will take place on April 23 at Evergreen Brick Works, 550 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.
The Toronto landmark was named by National Geographic as one of the world’s top 10 geotourism destinations in 2010. The restored heritage buildings set among lush ravines provide an inspiring setting for the conference. Featuring LEED Platinum building retrofits, connections to walking and biking trails, and a current focus on transit and mobility, Brick Works is the ideal setting for a discussion of Complete Streets.
Evergreen Brick Works is accessible by all travel modes.
The Forum will coordinate additional shuttles, a guided bike ride, a walking tour from nearby transit. There is also the option to join a carpool.
We are delighted to announce that a temporary fully operational BIXI station will be placed at Evergreen Brick Works for the Forum. The bike tour will leave from a BIXI station and guide riders to the conference site.
Thanks to BIXI Toronto for making biking an accessible option to visitors and locals.
We encourage all out-of-town registrants to stay at the Hyatt Regency Toronto at 370 King Street West, the location of the wine and cheese reception on Apr 23rd and the venue for Share the Road Cycling Coalition's Ontario Bike Summit taking place on Apr 24-25.
