Jane’s Walk and Walkability Exhibit at 401 Richmond

The 5th annual Jane’s Walk is happening on May 7th and 8th. You’ve got to get out and walk! There are hundreds of wonderful walks to choose from. Consider joining Neluka Leanage, a TCAT Steering Committee Member, and Paul Young for a walk they are leading on May 7th in the Port Lands.

Walking ought to be convenient and pleasant where you live and work, because walkability increases physical health, sheer enjoyment and even property values. An upcoming exhibition illustrates how awkward and dangerous walking situations in Toronto can be improved. It is based on the work of Paul Hess (University of Toronto, Geography/Planning) who is also a speaker at TCAT’s Complete Streets Forum on Thursday April 28th.

The Walkability Exhibit is open from May 1st to June at the Urbanspace Gallery at 401 Richmond Street West.
